Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the makeup last?

Although pigment molecules stay in the skin indefinitely, the colour remains visible 1-2years. This varies depending on your age, skin type, colour choice and lifestyle. As with traditional tattooing, you are choosing to make a commitment to a permanent makeup procedure. For optimum results you should expect to attend a colour boost session every 12-18 months.

Is the procedure painful?

Everyone is different but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort is minimal.

Do I have a choice on placement and colour?

Definitely! You are consulted every step of the way from desired shape to colour selection.

How long will it take?

You should allow a minimum of 2 hours for a new procedure.

What happens after the procedure?

Is there any reason why I cant have the procedure?

A full medical history will e taken, but you will not be able to have the treatment if you are: pregnant, breast feeding, taking acne medication, under 18, suffering from cold sores or have false eye lashes.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup also known as micropigmentation, PMU is colour that is tattooed into the skin using a digital state of the art machine.
Permanent makeup creates make up that does not wash off, looks good, stays put and lasts for about a year. It is a revolutionary method of inserting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance facial features. Because the colour is placed ‘in’ your skin, for a softer, more natural looking results. From natural hairstroke eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner and blush or full lip colour, you can have make up that lasts 24/7.
Colour is added carefully on an initial procedure, and then adjusted/completed in a second session, which is undertaken after 4/6 weeks after allowing the colour to settle. A treatment can vary in how long it lasts depending on skin type and exposure to sun but generally last between 12-18 months.

The Procedure

Procedure Explained

The procedure involves implanting tiny particles of coloured pigment beneath the surface of the skin, ( much like tattoo ), to create makeup looks that lasts. Advances in the industry now mean that PMU has choices as well as answers. From soft powdered effect eyebrows to single hair replication, luscious lips in an array of colours for definition and balance, to eyeliner as fine or bold as you desire.

Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using state-of-the-art machine designed specifically for the cosmetic market. These digital systems are very different to conventional machines and inks used in conventional tattoo studios.
